On January 8, at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM) awarded 14 scholarships to outstanding students, supporting the development of high-quality human resources for Vietnam's aviation industry.
With over 30 years of development, VATM is one of the three key companies in Vietnam's civil aviation sector, investing in modern equipment and mastering new technologies to match top global aviation industries. The scholarship program, a result of the strategic partnership between HUST and VATM, aims to leverage strengths in engineering, technology, and flight management. Both parties are committed to long-term cooperation, offering learning and internship opportunities to meet the needs of Vietnam's aviation industry. Assoc. At the ceremony, Assoc. Mr. Ho Sy Tung, Deputy General Director of VATM and a HUST alumni from Cohort 34, expressed his joy at returning to the university. “These 14 scholarships not only provide financial support to students overcoming challenges but are also part of the strategy to develop high-quality human resources for the aviation industry,” he said. Mr. Tung also hoped that talented students of HUST would join VATM in the future, contributing to the growth of Vietnam's civil aviation sector. On behalf of the scholarship recipients, Dang Gia Bao, a student from Cohort 68, School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, expressed his determination: “I promise to always strive in my studies and personal development to meet the expectations of VATM and our professors.”
On March 21, 2024, VATM signed an agreement of cooperation with HUST to collaborate on training, research and application of technology in air traffic management.
