Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam (MEV) sponsors industrial robots for HUST

An industrial robot system with a total value of 700 million VND is integrated into the Industrial Control System laboratory for undergraduate and graduate students at the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST). 

Students of the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering are working on a robotic system sponsored by Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam.

The grant-receiving ceremony between Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam was officially organized on  March 15 at HUST. This is the 4th time that Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam has sponsored equipment for laboratories at the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering since the first time in 2007. 

The grant-receiving ceremony was held at Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

Mr. Shigeo Kuroki – General Director of Factory Automation, Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam – highly appreciated the talent and enthusiasm of HUST students. He hopes the company-sponsored equipment will be the launching pad to support the dreams of HUST students.

The laboratory system sponsored by MEV is getting more and more completed with the latest generation of electrical and automation equipment manufactured by the corporation, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) on a multi-connection platform, control devices for Servo (Servo Driver), position, and motion controllers, SCADA software suites for remote control and monitoring of automatic equipment, HMI screen, industrial robots ...

This laboratory serves roughly 200 students per term for subjects such as Logic Control and PLC, DCS and SCADA, Industrial Robots, Industrial Communication Networks. Besides, practical training for engineers of big companies such as Samsung Display, EVN is also held in this place.

Sharing at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Huu Thanh, Dean of the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, expressed his desire for cooperating with Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam in many other fields, especially after the establishment of the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, which has expanded and connected fields of the two merged schools (School of Electrical Engineering and School of Electronics and Telecommunications).

Previously, MEV sponsored the school with 5 PLC practice KITs and 5 HMI screens in 2007 and 2012. In 2016, Mitsubishi continued to sponsor the university with the latest generations of practice equipment with a total value of about 2 billion VND.
