On March 18, the School of Chemistry and Life Sciences, the Youth Union, and the Center for Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship at HUSt co-organized the Innovation Now: Are You Ready? The event kicked off the Innovation Next series, founded by the Song Foundation, aimed at driving innovation for sustainable development. Assoc. Prof. Huynh Dang Chinh, Vice President of HUST.
Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Huynh Dang Chinh, Vice President of HUST, emphasized the university’s nearly 70-year commitment to innovation and technology. He highlighted creativity and development as top priorities, stating: “Students are at the heart of innovation, mastering technology and knowledge to elevate HUST on the global stage.” Jang Keu, Founder & Chair of Sống Foundation and Chair of GroupG Asia Pacific.
Jang Keu, Founder & Chair of Song Foundation and Chair of GroupG Asia Pacific, maintained that sustainability is not just about preservation but also adaptation and responsible progress. "Sustainability doesn’t mean rejecting progress but finding a responsible path forward," she said.
Guided by this principle, Song Foundation launched Program No. 3 “Hey River”, focusing on building Sustainable People, with Innovation Next as a core component. The event at HUST marked the official kickoff of this initiative. Outstanding students receive scholarships at the event.
To support and encourage HUST students in innovation, GroupG Asia Pacific awarded 10 scholarships to outstanding students with remarkable achievements in innovation competitions and projects.
Through Innovation Now – Are You Ready?, HUST aims to foster a culture of creativity, equipping students with not only knowledge but also critical thinking and problem-solving skills to enhance their career prospects. Students gain access to sustainable startup projects, social initiatives, and collaborations with leading innovation-driven enterprises and organizations. These experiences help strengthen personal competencies and create positive impacts on the community and society.
