Over 950 Athletes Compete in HUST’s Union Sports Festival 2024

On the morning of November 5, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) held the opening ceremony for the Union Sports Festival 2024, marking the 42nd anniversary of Vietnam Teachers’ Day (November 20).

Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Phong Dien, Vice President of HUST, highlighted the festival as the university’s largest sports event, promoting health, camaraderie, and solidarity—the foundation of the university's strength and community spirit. “This is a moment for the HUST community to celebrate physical fitness and unity, following the example set by President Ho Chi Minh,” the Vice President emphasized.
 

The festival includes over 950 participants across 25 teams from 32 departments competing in soccer, badminton, table tennis, tug-of-war, and fitness walking. Students, staff, and faculty came together for a spirited event that showcased HUST’s collective strength and commitment to community, both in academics and on the field.

Scheduled from November 5 to 30, events will take place at the university's Sports Hall and Stadium.
