HUST Partners with Mitsui & Co. in Cultivating Tomorrow's Skilled Workforce

On 11/09/2024, Hanoi University of Science and Technology signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mitsui & Co. Vietnam Ltd. to advance their collaborative efforts in addressing the demand for skilled labor through academic exchanges and study tours for students and instructors.

This partnership aims to promote joint projects, workshops, seminars, and laboratories, as well as to raise fundings for education. Additionally, students at HUST will be provided with internship programs, career guidance, and employment opportunities.

At the ceremony, Asso. Prof. Huynh Quyet Thang, President of HUST, remarked: “It is our honor to be given this opportunity. Over the years, HUST has cultivated partnerships with numerous universities, research institutes, businesses, and other organizations from Japan throughout the years. This collaboration with Mitsui & Co. further demonstrates anew the strategic vision, competence and reliability of both parties. We are committed to enhancing our quality of education and research to meet the demand of our international partners.”

In response to Asso. Prof. Huynh Quyet Thang, Mr. Tatsuo Yasunaga, Representative Director, Chair of the Board of Directors, Mitsui & Co. Vietnam Ltd., highlighted the alliance between Japan and HUST: “Today’s MoU signing marks the the beginning of our collaboration in implementing skilled labor training programs. We look forward to future opportunities to work with the university."

Mr. Yasunaga also praised the skills and capabilities of HUST students, expressing confidence that they will make significant contributions to the success of both countries.

Mitsui & Co. Ltd. currently operates 125 offices across 61 countries, engaging in various major business sectors such as iron ore extraction, upstream oil industry, shipbuilding and automobiles, chemicals, healthcare, etc.
