Hanoi University of Science and Technology Visits and Presents Gifts to Encourage Air Defense – Air Force Officers and Soldiers in Parade Training

On the morning of August 21, at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, a delegation from Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to the officers and soldiers of the Air Defense – Air Force Service who are training for the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2).

On September 2, 2025, the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, the State President, the Government, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and the city of Hanoi will solemnly hold a ceremony at 6:30 AM to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, featuring parades and processions at Ba Dinh Square.

To participate in the parades and processions, the Air Defense – Air Force Service has mobilized nearly 4,000 officers and soldiers, along with a range of modern equipment and weaponry. The participating forces include: the Air Force flypast formation; the male officers' marching block of the Air Defense - Air Force; the male officers' standing block of the Air Defense - Air Force; and the military artillery vehicle block of the Air Defense - Air Force.

For many months, despite harsh weather conditions, the officers and soldiers have been training diligently with the highest sense of responsibility. Each training session is not only a preparation for the grand celebration but also an opportunity to forge their willpower, mettle, and absolute loyalty to the Fatherland.

At the gathering, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bùi Đức Hùng, Chairman of the HUST Trade Union, shared: "Hanoi University of Science and Technology has always cherished, taken pride in, and believed that the officers and soldiers will maintain their morale and complete their performance with excellence, contributing to the overall success of the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day."

The Chairman of the HUST Trade Union also expressed his hope that the officers and soldiers would always prioritize their physical training, maintain good health, and uphold the best possible spirit throughout the training process to fully accomplish the glorious mission entrusted by the nation on the upcoming momentous day.

Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyễn Ngọc Nam, Deputy Head of the Public Affairs Department of the Air Defense – Air Force Service and Political Commissar of the Parade and Procession Battalion, expressed his deep appreciation for the sentiment, care, and timely encouragement from Hanoi University of science and Technology.

The Deputy Head of the Public Affairs Department emphasized that the close-knit relationship between the two twinned units serves as a great source of spiritual encouragement, providing energy and inspiration for the officers and soldiers to resolutely and successfully fulfill their parade duties during the National Day Grand Ceremony.

Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyễn Ngọc Nam affirmed: "The officers and soldiers of the Air Defense – Air Force Service have always placed great faith and expectations in the generations of HUST students. We believe that with their tradition of learning and creativity, HUST students will continuously develop their intellect, master science and technology, and make practical, effective contributions to the sustainable development of our country."

The visit once again affirmed the strong bond between the military and the people, while also spreading a spirit of responsibility, pride, and determination to contribute to the success of this major national event. This was not only a profoundly meaningful and humane activity but also a clear reflection of the HUST spirit – "Responsibility to the Nation, Commitment to the Community." It is also a way for the faculty, staff, and students of Hanoi University of Science and Technology to help nurture the great national unity, striving for noble values for the sake of the Fatherland and the people.
