On the morning of July 24, 2025, the 2nd International Conference on Health Science and Technology (ICHST 2025) officially commenced. The event is organized by Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), in collaboration with the University of Connecticut (USA), the University of Danang, and AVSE Global, with the support of various domestic and international organizations and enterprises.

In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Huynh Quyet Thang – President of HUST – emphasized the growing importance of health science and technology amid global challenges such as pandemics, climate change, environmental pollution, and antibiotic resistance.

“The COVID-19 pandemic serves as a powerful testament to the role of science. Thanks to advancements in genomic technology, the virus was rapidly identified, enabling the swift development of effective diagnostics and vaccines. This clearly highlights the essential role of science in safeguarding public health – now and in the future,” stated President Thang.
