HUST and VinUni Join Forces to Elevate Vietnamese Higher Education
On October 14, 2025, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with VinUni University to collaborate in the fields of training, research, innovation, and talent development.

Opening the signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Huỳnh Quyết Thắng, President of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, remarked: "This cooperation is not just an agreement between two universities, but a meeting of two visions, two philosophies, and a shared aspiration: to jointly contribute to elevating higher education in Vietnam."

Hanoi University of Science and Technology is entering a new phase of development guided by the philosophy of "a convergence of excellence"—a place where outstanding values in training, research, innovation, and university governance are connected, intersected, and synergized to create breakthroughs.

The university believes that when excellent institutions come together, work together, and create together, they will generate great value that contributes to and spreads throughout society. The "handshake" between HUST and VinUni is a vivid testament to this spirit of "cooperating for mutual development."

The President of HUST emphasized: "I believe that with shared trust, responsibility, and aspiration, the cooperation between Hanoi University of Science and Technology and VinUni will not only be a synergy of two universities but also a symbol of the convergent power of Vietnamese intellect."

Also at the ceremony, Dr. Lê Mai Lan, Vice Chairwoman of Vingroup and President of the VinUni University Council, concurred with the sentiments shared by the HUST President.

She reaffirmed: "When excellent units converge and collaborate, they will contribute together to the strong and sustainable development of our nation."

Dr. Lê Mai Lan stated: VinUni's mission is to train an elite workforce that possesses expertise, skills, life experience, and a desire to contribute, thereby achieving maximum effectiveness, fostering prosperity for themselves and society, and making a positive impact on the global knowledge economy.

The President of the VinUni University Council shared: "We invest heavily in our talent development plans, sending postgraduate and doctoral students abroad with scholarships from Vingroup; of these, students from Hanoi University of Science and Technology account for over 10%. I hope that today's cooperation is the first step in a long-term relationship for us. Together, we can conquer the world's common challenges!"
