Hanoi University of Science and Technology Prepares Talent for the Nation’s Next Stage of Development

From September 8 to September 12, 2025, the School of Information and Communication Technology (SoICT) at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) is hosting the SoICT Summer School on "Agentic AI." The program is co-sponsored by Samsung Group and Naver Corporation of South Korea.
  This initiative not only helps connect and strengthen the community of students, faculty, and partners but also creates a meaningful forum for sharing knowledge and spreading inspiration. It simultaneously affirms the reputation of the School of Information and Communication Technology at HUST as a leading national center for training and research.

Assoc. Prof. Tạ Hải Tùng, Dean of the School of Information and Communication Technology (SoICT) at HUST, stated at the opening ceremony: "I expect that organizing and participating in training courses like this is a crucial step in preparing the human resources for our country's new stage of development."
  Mr. Park Dong-jin, CEO of Naver Vietnam, representing the program's sponsors, expressed: "We believe that with the developmental vision of Vietnam's leaders—aiming for Vietnam to become a powerful, prosperous, and happy nation by 2045—Information Technology (IT), especially AI, will be an indispensable key factor, helping Vietnam firmly advance toward this aspiration. On this journey, Naver Vietnam is committed to continuing to be a strong bridge, bringing technology into daily life while tightening the cooperative relationship between South Korea and Vietnam."

The SoICT Summer School is an annual event that offers an opportunity for students, graduate students, and IT professionals from across the country to access valuable lectures on trending topics in ICT, delivered by SoICT faculty as well as experts and scientists from prestigious universities and corporations in Vietnam and internationally.

The summer school provides a diverse series of lectures on timely topics in Agentic AI, such as Multimodal Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, and workflow automation. These lectures not only introduce theory but also extend to practical applications in sectors like healthcare, finance, education, e-commerce, and digital marketing.

In 2025, out of 186 applications reviewed for the Summer School on "Agentic AI," only 54 were accepted for in-person participation. The attendees are outstanding students from over 20 universities and training institutions nationwide. All participants receive a full scholarship, which covers the attendance fee and accommodation costs in Hanoi for the duration of the program.
  Kicking off the Summer School program, Prof. Hồ Tú Bảo, Head of the Data Science Laboratory (DSLAB) at the Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM), delivered a presentation on "AI and Humans." He is one of the most respected and inspiring experts for the younger generation in the field of AI in Vietnam, with numerous prestigious awards to his name. Prof. Hồ Tú Bảo is also the Scientific Director of the BKAI Artificial Intelligence International Research Center at SoICT.
