Spin-off Businesses and Startups

Technology transfer boils down to transferring formalized know-how from universities towards external parties. Often this know-how is made explicit in the form of Intellectual Property (IP), mostly patents. A spin-off is a legal entity specifically formed in order to valorize university IP.

BK-Holdings has incubated different spin-off startups and businesses to valorize HUST’s IP.

The BK-Ebike public multi-point public electric bicycle and bicycle model project

Sponsored by Caritas Switzerland and the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP), Caritas Switzerland in Vietnam, cooperates with Hanoi University of Technology to implement the project in 5 years 2013-2018.

Total project investment: 220,000 USD

Operation model: Bicycle rental, electric bicycle

Total number of bikes: 600 bicycles and 180 electric bicycles

Project SUPA

SUPA is the project of Building a sustainable pangasius supply chain in Vietnam (SUPA). The project was implemented from April 2013 and lasts until March 2017 with benefits to: 200 aqua feed businesses; 100 pangasius processing enterprises; 750 pangasius farms are small; 150 medium and large pangasius farms and 1000 pangasius hatcheries in Vietnam.

BKHUP Co-Working space

BKHUP Co-Working space is the most modern and first-class co-working space in Vietnam according to international standards and was officially put into operation on December 29, 2016 at A17 Building, No. 17 Ta Quang Buu, Hanoi. This is the university's first innovative startup co-working space with a total floor space of 1,300 square meters and 350 seats with modern decor.

With the idea of ​​making BKHUP the central point (HUB) located at the Encyclopedia of Vietnam Startups Ecosystem, BKHUP is the focal point for young research groups, inventors, investors, and corporate organizations. being able to work, meet, connect, together spark creativity and development.

Co-working space BKHUP Co - Working Space is open 24/7 to serve the startup community. Here, the startup community will have a cheaper workspace than a traditional office and the opportunity to receive support from Vietnam's top startup experts.

Lotte Startup Office

Lotte Startup Office is a co-working space co-operated by BK-Holdings and LOTTE Data Communication Company (LOTTE Data Communication Company). This is the second co-working space of BK-Holdings officially put into operation in early 2017.

Lotte Startup Office is built with the goal of attracting young research groups, inventors, startup groups, students in the field of technology in universities or small and medium business organizations. Here, the startup community will have many opportunities to meet and connect with leading experts in the information technology field in Vietnam. At the same time, the startup community will receive advice and support from BK-Holdings, make use of the facilities and labs here to continue to test and develop technology products before being brought to the market.

Junior Startup Vietnam

Junior Startup Vietnam (JSV - Youth Entrepreneurship) is an International Education for Children Project incubated and sponsored by Junior Achievement International (JA), Cisco Networking Academy (Cisco Networking Academy - The United States) and Hanoi Bach Khoa Technology Investment & Development Company Limited (BK-Holdings) to build training programs for high school students (grades 1 to 12) who love the public. information technology, creative science and business.
