Shandong University welcomed Hanoi University of Science and Technology at the airport.
On March 3rd, 2026, the opening ceremony of the internship and graduation thesis program for HUST students was held at Shendong University (China). The program is part of the outstanding talent training project, a tripartite collaboration between Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Goertek Vina Science and Technology Co., Ltd., and Shandong University.
At the tripartite agreement signing ceremony in September 2025, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Phong Dien, Vice President of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, emphasized: “I firmly believe that, with the partnership of Shandong University - one of China’s leading prestigious universities - and Goertek Vina - a top high-tech enterprise in electronics and smart manufacturing - this tripartite collaboration will bring practical benefits not only to students and faculty members, but also contribute positively to the socio-economic development of both countries.”
As expected, this internship program marks the first concrete movement in making the cooperation agreement a reality, reflecting Hanoi University of Science and Technology’s strategic orientation toward practice-oriented training and international integration.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Phạm Thanh Huyền, Head of the Department of Student Affairs at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, once again affirmed: “We hope that the tripartite cooperation will evolve into a long-term, lasting strategic partnership, jointly building an integrated ecosystem of education, research, and production, thereby bringing practical benefits to students, the university, and the enterprise.”
The delegation took a commemorative photo with senior leaders of Shandong University and the Goertek Group.
From the enterprise side, Mr. Garth, Vice President of Goertek Group, shared: “We look forward to welcoming HUST students not only in this internship program, but also in the future - when you become engineers and experts contributing to Goertek’s development and to strengthening the industrial ties between Vietnam and China.”
Representing Shandong University, Prof. Xu Xifeng, Director of the Office of International Cooperation, expressed: “Shandong University highly values its collaboration with Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Goertek Group. Through this program, we hope that the three parties will continue to expand academic cooperation, co-supervise research, and jointly train talented engineers for the region and the world.”
Student Mai Chi, from cohort 66 of Computer Science, representing 18 HUST students participating in the internship, shared: “We deeply appreciate the opportunity given by the University and the enterprise. We are determined to learn with a proactive, disciplined, and receptive mindset; strictly comply with the regulations of both the University and the enterprise; and at the same time demonstrate the competence, intellect, and cultural identity of HUST students and Vietnamese students in an international environment.”
Hanoi University of Science and Technology visits Goertek Group
In the next three months, students will study in a disciplined academic environment at Shandong University and work in a high-tech setting at Goertek Group. This program not only marks a new milestone in educational cooperation between Vietnam and China, but also contributes to strengthening friendship, promoting cultural exchange, and developing high-quality human resources in the context of global integration.
Shandong University was established in 1901 and is ranked 339th in the QS rankings. In 1997, it was included in China’s Project 211. In 2001, it was designated as a key national research university under Project 985; and in 2017, it officially joined the group of institutions developed under the “world-class university” initiative.
Goertek is a representative enterprise in national technological innovation, playing a pioneering role in information technology and artificial intelligence in Shandong Province. Many of Goertek’s projects have been included as key projects in the 14th Five-Year Plan.
