The year 2025 marks significant events for the country, as the entire Party and people look towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, while also celebrating National Resistance Day (December 19)—a historical milestone demonstrating the will for independence and self-reliance of the Vietnamese nation. In this context, this morning (December 19), Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) organized a Ceremony to Announce the completion of 16 projects and the commencement of 3 projects aimed at improving facility conditions to support training, scientific research, and university governance, in celebration of the 14th Party Congress.

The projects are implemented based on HUST's long-term development orientation: To become a center for talent training, excellent research, and innovation; to hold a core role in the key higher education system regarding science, engineering, and technology; to serve as a nucleus in attracting investment and high-tech development; and to step by step rise into the group of the top 100–150 universities in Asia according to prestigious international rankings.

In 2025, the University's infrastructure continues to be invested in a modern and synchronous direction, suitable for the requirements of digital transformation and the research university model. Three projects commencing in 2025 are directly linked to training, teaching, and academic activities. These include the 10th-floor Hall of Ta Quang Buu Building, envisioned to become a modern space for meetings, conferences, and seminars, meeting the needs for organizing scientific events and general activities for units throughout the University.

Additionally, 2 OMO (Online Merge Offline) classrooms are being invested in to enhance digital capacity for lecturers and students, supporting personalized learning paths and optimizing training time and space. Many workspaces at Ta Quang Buu Building are also being renovated and repaired, including rooms 901 to 905, 907, etc., serving the operations of the Bach khoa Publishing House and the Center of Digital Transformation, contributing to forming a modern and flexible working environment.

It can be seen that the projects and works in 2025 are closely linked to the goal of innovating university governance. The investment in facilities is calculated based on practical needs, aligned with long-term development strategies and the ability for effective exploitation post-investment, gradually forming an infrastructure system suitable for the autonomous university model—a persistent and prudent development flow of Hanoi University of Science and Technology in its journey of innovation. Each work not only adds space for learning, research, or living but also contributes to building the foundation for a university environment approaching international higher education standards.

At the ceremony, Hanoi University of Science and Technology launched for the first time the website "Science, Technology, and Innovation Products implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW." The website is not only a channel to introduce typical research results but also clearly demonstrates the University's determination to concretize the goals of the Politburo's Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW and the Prime Minister's Decision No. 1131-TTg.

The 5 priority research areas of HUST include: Artificial Intelligence and Data Technology; Intelligent Systems; Sustainable Energy and Environment; New Materials; and Health Science and Technology. These are also areas within the 11 national strategic technologies, affirming research orientation linked to the country's development requirements, while creating premises for HUST's research results to step by step into practice.
