HUST and Huawei Technologies worked together on talent development and education

On December 4, HUST signed an MoU with Huawei Vietnam to promote the field in training and developing talent.

HUST is a leading university, under Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, in pushing forwarding digital transformation, digital economy and society transformation. Huawei is a leading information and communications technology (“ICT”) company. It is anticipated that these two parties working together will produce positive outcomes.

This MoU reflects two side's shared vision for advancing technology, education, and sustainable development in Vietnam.

At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Phong Dien, HUST Vice President stated: “HUST has been committed to driving digital transformation in education and research as the leading university role in promoting the digital economy and digital society in Vietnam.”
  Through this partnership, both sides will collaborate closely to accelerate digital transformation at HUST, with a shared ambition to build a future-oriented digital campus and enrich our scientific research data infrastructure. 

Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Phong Dien emphasized: “We believe this collaboration will not only enhance our technological capacity, but also create new opportunities for innovation, interdisciplinary research, and smart campus development.”
 
Most important in this MOU is the joint commitment to cultivating high-quality ICT talent for Vietnam. Under the Huawei ICT Academy program, HUST students will have access to advanced technology training, industry-standard course materials, professional certification pathways, and opportunities to participate in global programs such as “Seeds for the Future” and the “ICT Competition”.
  Mr. Liu Yin, CEO of Huawei Technologies Vietnam affirmed at the ceremony: “Through this MOU, we aim to deepen our cooperation by sharing advanced academic resources via the Huawei ICT Academy. Students and teachers will gain access to cutting-edge knowledge in AI, Cloud Computing, Telecommunications, and IT. We also look forward to offering internships and career opportunities for students, helping students grow professionally and gain international experience.

HUST appreciated the cooperation supported by Huawei for HUST students through internships, job fairs, technical workshops, and industry engagement activities. These programs will strengthen the bridge between academia and industry, ensure that the next generation of engineers and innovators are prepared to meet real-world challenges with confidence and creativity.

  The signing ceremony is the beginning of a long-term strategic partnership built on mutual trust, shared goals and a strong commitment to innovation. Together, HUST and Huawei will strive to contribute to Vietnam’s digital transformation, nurture young talent, and build a more intelligent future for our society.
