On September 16, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) signed a cooperation agreement with AIDEM Inc. for the 8th HUST-AIDEM Japanese Language Training Program. The program aims to equip HUST students with foreign language proficiency, soft skills, corporate culture understanding, and an international perspective—essential assets in an era of global integration.

This collaboration is also a strong affirmation of the partnership and support between AIDEM and HUST. It stands as a testament to a deep and sustainable cooperative relationship that combines academia with practice and training with corporate needs. The goal is to cultivate generations of engineers and experts who are not only professionally competent but also possess strong skills, ready to excel in the international arena.

Assoc. Prof. Huỳnh Đăng Chính, Vice President of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, expressed his hope that the HUST-AIDEM cooperation will become a model for connecting training, research, culture, and employment, benefiting not only the students but also the two nations as a whole.

Assoc. Prof. Huỳnh Đăng Chính emphasized: “Hanoi University of Science and Technology deeply appreciates the partnership and sponsorship from AIDEM. I wish for the relationship between our two organizations to continue to flourish, bringing new value to our students, to businesses, and to the economic development of both our countries.”

Mr. Kenji Kuribara, a member of the Board of Directors and Director in charge of Aidem's business operations in Vietnam, committed to supporting outstanding HUST students in learning Japanese, understanding the culture, and preparing the necessary skills for working in Japan. The company will organize introduction and interview sessions with businesses, as well as internship programs, to help HUST students find employment opportunities at Japanese companies.

Mr. Kenji Kuribara also shared: “I hope that graduates from this program will not only succeed in their careers but also gain a deeper understanding of both countries through cultural exchange and communication. I hope they will become key figures who help elevate the Vietnam-Japan relationship and contribute to the future development of Vietnam.”

In HUST's development strategy, fostering cooperation in training, research, language support, and academic exchange with Japanese universities and enterprises is considered a key annual objective. To date, more than 50 cooperation agreements have been signed with major Japanese universities, companies, and corporations such as Toyota, Denso, and Nissan. Among these, the HUST-AIDEM program stands out as one of the most effective collaborations.

Over the past seven years, the HUST-AIDEM program has helped enhance the capabilities of HUST students in the Japanese language, soft skills, and knowledge of engineering and the working culture in Japanese enterprises. It has also created internship and employment opportunities for outstanding HUST students, significantly helping them to be fully equipped before graduation to meet the recruitment standards of Japanese companies in particular and international corporations in general.

The total number of students who have participated in the program over the past seven years is more than 350. They have been trained in Japanese language proficiency from levels N5 to N3 and have attended courses on professional etiquette and culture in Japanese companies. Students are equipped with necessary soft skills and are given opportunities to intern at companies in Japan. In 2019, 2022, 2023, 2024, and again this year, AIDEM Inc. has coordinated with HUST to organize internship and experiential trips to Japan for nearly 60 outstanding students from the program. Notably, 14 students have just returned from completing their internships in Japan this year.

Furthermore, the program annually offers incentive scholarships to the top 10-15 students of each cohort. Cultural exploration activities, photo contests, and "Discover Japan" events are also regularly planned and executed. The first six cohorts of the program have concluded successfully, with about 80 participating students finding suitable employment at companies in Japan. Graduates of the two-year training program have all expressed their gratitude for the dedicated and enthusiastic support from both the company and the university, which provided them with the best opportunities to grow and perfect themselves beyond the knowledge acquired in the lecture hall.
